Our Rainbow Bridge family

Our Forever Loved program honors those who left us too soon.

Donations can be made to honor our fallen hero’s so that their legacy can live on to help others.

“If love could have saved them they would have lived forever.”

Lennon ~ Our differently able, blind, deaf pup who blessed our hearts for too few days. His spirit was strong but his body too weak to continue to battle the after effects of neurological distemper, and chronic malnourishment. He travelled half way around the world to be with his forever family and to reach his final resting place. Always loved and forever missed. (03/27/17~03/19/18)

Tilly ~ Miss Tilly Toes ~ our loving paralyzed bunny who battled against hidden illness right up until the end. Tilly was scheduled for euthanasia because she was paralyzed. We wanted to give her a chance even though she was broken. She didn’t stay with us for long but the impact that she had on our hearts will last forever. (05/23/17~11/28/17)

Shakey Jakey ~ Shakey Jakey was brought to the shelter to be euthanized, the lady did not know that he had CH. In the photo below, Jakey says that he isn’t CH…he’s DD. 🙀 This little man was full of life, bounce and somersaults. He entertained us, he followed us, he loved us. We don’t know why he left us so suddenly other than he was meant to be with his soul buddy, The Little Guy. ~ Losing you was hard!

Isaiah ~ The Little Guy ~ This little man taught me so much about being selfless. He arrived a tiny ball of fluff with no sight. His badly infected eyes needed so much attention and taking care of them wasn’t for the faint hearted …. but he needed me! We got him big enough for surgery but he was a sickly little guy. We watched you grow and watched you learn… guided by your eternal angel, Shakey Jakey. We loved you enough to let you go! Fly high little guy!

Dexter ~ Our special, blind and wobbly pup. He was one of 6 surviving siblings to a young Mom. Mom was a beautiful Labrador, American Bulldog mix who was sadly sprayed with toxic spray paint during her pregnancy. Five of her pups went over the Rainbow bridge on the day of Birth, five were apparently healthy and then there was Dexter! Dexter was the runt of the litter who went into respiratory distress at birth! He was almost completely blind, we believe that he could see shadows. He was also ataxic or wobbly! His mobility issues were worse when he got tired. He was a happy boy who loved to run, goat and kangaroo! He sometimes got frustrated that his body can’t keep up with his mind and he acted out like a naughty child! He was hypersensitive to stimulation and needed quiet time to decompress. Dexter loved food, people and cuddles with his kitty friends. Sadly, toxins were not Dexters friend. Between May and July of 2019, Dexter had huge struggles with toxins from various sources. His body began to deteriorate and he was no longer our happy little boy. We made the heartbreaking decision to set him free to run over the rainbow bridge on July 31st, 2019. He left a huge void in our hearts and lives. Forever loved and remembered for his adorable butt wiggles. (01/27/18 – 07/31/19)

Beau was a special little man who travelled with Belle from Saudi Arabia. He had been found on the streets of Saudi with his Mumma and his sibling. Beau was paralyzed and struggled with sensitive skin. Sadly, when he arrived in the USA he was in very bad shape. We spent 6 weeks trying to make him well again but his struggles increased with time. We unfortunately had to set him free to run and play over the rainbow bridge. His favorite thing was to play…..he was our happy little Beau. You were loved.

Penny Lane and Sgt. Pepper ~ Both of these babies were born with Manx syndrome, they were siblings to Jules. We took them in because they were scheduled for euthanasia due to not thriving. Sadly, they were only with us for a few days before they crossed the rainbow bridge.
